Study Abroad
The School’s international semester- or year-long study options include the DArch Dual Degree Global Track in partnership with top-ranked Tongji University in Shanghai, as well as semester-long study abroad opportunities in Munich through our partnership with Germany’s highest ranked TUM: Technical University of Munich School of Engineering and Design.
The dual-degree program with Tongji University offers an immersive international experience, allowing students to study within one of Asia’s leading architecture schools while building cross-cultural and professional connections in Shanghai and Asia Pacific region. Students interested in a European perspective can also spend a semester abroad in Munich, where students take courses in progressive practice pedagogy around TUM’s global SHIFT initiative seamlessly integrating with UHM architecture requirements.
Beyond these prepared proven pathways, students may explore further international opportunities through the UHM Study Abroad Center (SAC) including the Florence Study Abroad (Open to students who have completed ARCH 342).
