Gamma Mu Chapter at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, School of Architecture

Tau Sigma Delta national honor society was established in 1913. The Gamma Mu Chapter of the University of Hawai‘i is one of many chapters throughout the United States. Chapter Gamma Mu was organized and formed in the semester of Fall 2001. Gamma Mu welcomes the interest and input of fellow architecture students on how we can academically assist them. We are always interested in ways we can help stimulate and encourage our peers, in example putting on events such as multi-media model making workshops and organizing a full lectures series featuring the School of Architecture’s very own professors. It is a privilege for our members to be a part of Gamma Mu and we hope this organization gives our fellow underclassmen a goal to shoot for in their future years here at the University of Hawai‘i School of Architecture.

Mission Statement

This organization was established to provide a national collegiate honor society open to students of all American colleges and universities, where in an accredited program of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Planning and the Allied Arts is established. Our prime objective is to celebrate excellence in scholarship, to stimulate mental achievement and to award those students who attain high scholastic standing by the rewards of membership in an honor society. The society hopes to set an example of dedication and discipline in our studies of Architecture and the Allied Arts through our actions and commitment to do the best of our abilities for the honor society. Gamma Mu hopes to influence their fellow peers to strive for achievement and help them obtain their highest ambitions.
