Assistant/Associate Professor

Assistant/Associate Professor, UHM School of Architecture, (Manoa), tenure track, or non-tenure track positions, full-time, to begin approximately August 2006, pending position clearance and availability of funds. Duties: Primary responsibilities are to teach and conduct research/creative endeavors in the School's NAAB accredited professional ArchD program. Teaching areas include architecture, landscape and urban design, structures and building systems, construction management and professional practice. Perform other university services. Minimum qualifications: Assistant Professor: Professional degree in architecture. Professional experience in the areas of responsibility. Demonstrated ability as a scholar and teacher. Associate Professor: Same as Assistant Professor plus substantial teaching or equivalent professional experience; nationally recognized record of scholarship and/or practice. Desirable qualifications: Advanced degree; strong record of scholarship and/or professional practice; computer aided design capability; professional licensure; scholarly interest in contemporary Asia-Pacific architectural issues and potential for leadership in an academic setting.
