Papers are sought which advance the state of design, research, and technological application, the development of quantitative measures, and case studies of new methods, materials, and devices aimed at advancing sustainable methodologies in the Asia Pacific region.

Papers in this category are to address the improved interaction among the built, natural, and human environments with respect to transportation, urban design and building design. Emphasis is placed on projects that reduce pollution and resource and energy use while improving the general quality of life. Built and unbuilt projects are acceptable. Papers that apply a quantitative approach to the work as in the application of measurable criteria such as rating systems, building performance analysis, life cycle cost analysis, and/or environmental foot-printing will be given preference.
