"Designing With Nature"

Ken Yeang was educated at Cheltenham College in the UK. He graduated from the AA School in London and completed his Ph.D. at Wolson College in Cambridge University in the UK on ecological design and planning (now published in the book, Yeang, K. 91995, Designing With Nature, McGraw-Hill, USA). He has authored several books. Yeang has an international practice with his headquaters in Kuala Lumpur. He is currently a Professor at Sheffield University (UK) and an Adjunct Professor at RMIT (Melbourne). The focus of his work is in the ecological design of large buildings, including skyscrapers. In 1999, he was made an Honorary Fellow of the AIA, and will receive the 1999 Asia Pacific Architectural Scholar Award at the luau on Friday night.
