Pathway to Architectural Licensure

The School of Architecture undergraduate and graduate programs support multiple pathways to architectural licensure through both non-accredited and accredited degree programs. Each state or jurisdiction’s licensure requirements are different, but typically include education (or education alternatives), experience, and examination. The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) is the non-profit organization made up of the architectural licensing boards of 55 U.S. states and territories. For information on requirements for each jurisdiction, go to https://www.ncarb.org/get-licensed/licensing-requirements-tool.
