My Tran is an architectural designer whose work explores the intersection of history, culture, and contemporary design, with a deep interest in uncovering the stories embedded in place. Originally from Vietnam and now based in the U.S., My’s global experiences shape a belief in architecture as a tool for storytelling, connection, and shared meaning. My is the founder of My Tran Studio and co-founder of Studio Ki’owao, a Hawai‘i-based design-build practice grounded in place, craft, and community. Teaching in both Vietnam and the United States, My brings cultural curiosity, real-world practice, and a human-centered approach into the classroom. Ultimately, My’s work, both in practice and teaching, is about bringing people together through design.
