In Fall 2025, the School of Architecture’s Global Track Dual Degree Program will celebrate its 15th anniversary, marking a milestone in international architectural education and collaboration. The program is also pleased to welcome four new University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM) students as part of its 15th cohort (GT15).
Meanwhile, the current GT14 UHM students will spend Summer 2025 completing their professional practicum placements at firms in New York, Idaho, and Hawaiʻi, while also preparing for their transition to Tongji University in Shanghai. These placements allow students to gain valuable real-world experience while meeting the visa requirements for international study.
Beginning in the Fall 2025 semester, the five GT14 UHM students will reunite with their three Tongji University peers to begin a full academic year of joint study. This marks the program’s first return to in-person, on-campus instruction at Tongji University since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a long-anticipated milestone that reaffirms the program’s commitment to immersive, cross-cultural architectural education.
As it enters its 15th year, the Global Track Program continues to stand as a unique model of international collaboration, professional preparation, and academic exchange.
