Associate Professor Lance Walters is featured in an episode of Halekulani Hotel’s Living TV, The Art of Living, produced by NMG Network.
This three-minute video captures excerpts taken from “Screen Blocks in Hawai‘i: Letting Tradewinds Flow,” co-authored by Don Hibbard and Lance Walters. This video takes a brief tour of an array of unique designs and patterns embellishing apartment and business structures and residential homes around the island of Oahu showcasing Hawai‘i’s architectural legacy.
Halekulani Living TV connects its guests with Hawai‘i’s people and places focusing on lifestyle, culture, arts and island heritage.
Each Spring semester, Prof Walters teaches ARCH 102 (Design Fundamentals Studio II), a course that includes a six-week project which students focus on research and design elements to construct unique breeze block models.
