Hello Students, Faculty, and Friends,
We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the life and legacy of Richard R. Lowe, an exceptional city planner, musician, and devoted volunteer at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa’s School of Architecture.
Please join us for “Going with the Flow…with Richard Lowe”, an evening of joy and remembrance at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa School of Architecture. The evening will feature live musical performances in the school’s auditorium, as well as a silent auction in the gallery, showcasing beautiful arts and crafts. Whether or not you knew Richard personally, we encourage you to come and experience his spirit through music, art, and the relationships he cherished.
Richard embraced life fully, leaving behind a wealth of wisdom and a legacy that continues to inspire. As we celebrate his memory, this event serves as a fundraiser to create a scholarship in his name. This scholarship will directly benefit students of the UHM Architecture program, providing them crucial support and resources. The goal is to ensure that Richard’s legacy lives on through the education and development of future architecture students. It’s a meaningful way to honor Mr. Lowe while making a lasting impact on the academic community. That is why we’ve partnered with the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS), an independent nonprofit, student-run organization dedicated to advancing leadership, design, and service among architecture students, to assist us with this event.
We would love for you to join us! Additionally, if you’d like to make a contribution, please feel free to reach out to me at bundit@hawaii.edu Your presence and support would mean the absolute world to us.
