Interdisciplinary SLR Research Receives AIA Honolulu 2024 Merit Award

In July 2024, the interdisciplinary SLR research was recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Honolulu for a Merit Award in the Unbuilt Category of their 2024 Design Awards

Project collaborators include principal investigator (PI) Wendy Meguro, AIA, LEED Fellow; co-investigator Charles “Chip” Fletcher, PhD; climate change adaptation specialist Josephine Briones, DArch; climate resilience specialist Georgina Casey; former graduate research assistants Gerry Failano, MLA and Eric Teeples, DArch; junior research assistant Desiree Malabed, BEnvD; and rendering tutors Chris Lomboy, DArch and Andrew Tang, SBA. Other contributors include Eileen Peppard, Melanie Lander, Dolan Eversole, and Aiko Tells, BEnvD. Funding was provided by the Office of Naval Research.
