At the end of a six-week design project, ARCH 102 sixty-five freshmen displayed their breeze block designs in an open house/review event. Local professional architects, professors, upperclassmen and graduate students were invited to meet these student designers to provide feedback and discuss the students’ workmanship and experiences. This Spring 2022 course was taught by Associate Professor Lance Walters.
ARCH 102-Design Fundamentals Studio II introduces the design process and provides first-year students with a hands-on small-scale project experience. Next year with the developed foundational skills, students will be challenged with a large-scale design, site and space project.
