Global Track student, Yuanyuan Wu, was recognized by AIA Honolulu receiving an Honorable Mention at this year’s Student Design Awards.  Her project, Aero Skin- Future Airport Design proposal, is an innovative take on the the future of urban and global transportation.  Facing the pressure of population, land and natural resources, vertical airports based on Electromagnetic Launch System technology will become possible in the future.  Wu’s project decomposes various functions of an airport into flexible form – “Aero Skin”, and integrates the airport into cities.
