For the vast majority of its 5000 year history the worlds first flying machine existed exclusively in Asia. During that time a complex array of designs evolved for fun, fishing, communication and surveying and now, much like Hawaii, it is a symbol of both leisure and science. Based in Honolulu, this architecture studio explored the design, construction and use of the oldest air-craft: the kite.
